Responsibilities include:

• Processing customer transactions quickly, accurately, and efficiently at the check lane.
• Understanding and operating the Point of Sale (POS) system, handling various tenders and loyalty offers according to company policy.
• Adhering to cash handling limits and loss prevention policies.
• Following guidelines on restricted sale items such as alcohol, tobacco, and DVDs.
• Reporting pricing discrepancies and managing postage stamps, gift cards, and coupons according to policies.
• Staying current with store ads and promotions.
• Adhering to food safety regulations and safety procedures, reporting unsafe conditions.
• Creating a welcoming environment for customers by assisting with questions and providing excellent service.
• Complying with all relevant laws and company policies.
• Working cooperatively in a fast-paced, sometimes stressful environment.
