Role Responsibilities:

  • Process customer transactions quickly, accurately, and efficiently at the checkout lane.
  • Understand and operate the Point of Sale (POS) system, handling various payment types and loyalty offers per company policy.
  • Adhere to company policies on cash shortages/overages and loss prevention.
  • Follow guidelines on restricted sale items (Alcohol, Tobacco, DVDs).
  • Report pricing discrepancies and manage postage stamps, gift cards, and coupons according to policies.
  • Stay informed about current and upcoming promotions.
  • Follow all food safety and safety procedures, reporting unsafe conditions or incidents.
  • Maintain equipment and report repairs needed.
  • Create a welcoming environment for customers by assisting with product questions and store navigation.
  • Comply with all applicable laws and company policies.
  • Work cooperatively in a high-paced, sometimes stressful environment, managing conflicts professionally.
  • Act with honesty and integrity regarding customer and business information.
  • Follow directions and seek assistance when needed to resolve issues.
  • Support and assist customers, including minors, individuals with special needs, and older adults.
  • Perform essential job functions with or without reasonable accommodations.
