Job Responsibilities:

• Process customer transactions quickly, accurately, and efficiently at the check lane.
• Understand and operate the Point of Sale (POS) system, handling various tenders such as cash, checks, credit, debit, SNAP EBT, WIC, rain checks, loyalty offers, coupons, and checkout procedures according to company policy.
• Adhere to company policies regarding cash shortages/overages and restricted sale items (Alcohol, Tobacco, DVDs).
• Report pricing discrepancies and follow established procedures for postage stamps, gift cards, and coupons.
• Stay current with promotions, seasonal, and special ads.
• Follow food safety regulations and guidelines.
• Reinforce safety programs by complying with safety procedures, reporting unsafe conditions or incidents promptly.
• Perform equipment inspections and report repairs needed.
• Create a welcoming environment for customers by assisting with product inquiries and providing excellent service.
• Comply with all applicable laws and company guidelines.
• Work cooperatively in a fast-paced, sometimes stressful environment.
• Manage conflicts professionally and maintain honesty and integrity with customer and business information.
• Follow directions and seek assistance when needed to resolve issues.
• Support and assist diverse customer needs, including minors, individuals with special needs, and older adults.
• Perform essential job functions with or without reasonable accommodations.
