Key Responsibilities
  1. Process customer transactions quickly, accurately, and efficiently at the check lane.
  2. Understand and operate the Point of Sale (POS) system, handling various tenders and offers according to company policy.
  3. Adhere to cash handling limits and work honestly to control loss.
  4. Follow guidelines on restricted sale items such as alcohol, tobacco, and DVDs.
  5. Report pricing discrepancies and stay current with ads and promotions.
  6. Comply with food safety regulations and safety procedures, reporting unsafe conditions or accidents.
  7. Create a welcoming environment for customers, assisting with questions about products.
  8. Follow all applicable laws and company policies.
  9. Work cooperatively in a high-paced environment and manage conflicts effectively.
  10. Act with honesty and integrity regarding customer and business information.
  11. Support and assist customers, including minors, individuals with special needs, and older adults.
  12. Perform essential functions with or without reasonable accommodations.
