Job Summary

Summary: Performs cashiering duties, including making cash transactions, verifying cash drawer, giving change, counting cash receipts, and completing cash reports. May also perform general food service work. Maintains sanitation standards in the preparation, service, and dining areas.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

1. Performs sales transactions promptly.
2. Enters all sales into the cash register accurately.
3. Makes change, accepts declining balance cards and other forms of payment; issues receipts.
4. Follows procedures for issuing cash refunds.
5. Interacts with customers and resolves complaints courteously.
6. Manages change funds and cash receipts, ensuring compliance with overage/shortage standards.
7. Observes customer purchases and differentiates between standard portions.
8. Replenishes condiments, beverages, and maintains cleanliness of service areas.
9. Keeps pastry case stocked.
10. Ensures compliance with service standards, inventory, and cash control procedures.
11. Adheres to sanitation, ServSafe, and safety requirements.
12. Performs other duties as assigned.
