Job Responsibilities:

• Process customer transactions quickly, accurately, and efficiently at the check lane.
• Understand and operate the Point of Sale (POS) system, handling various tenders such as cash, checks, credit/debit cards, SNAP EBT, WIC, rain checks, loyalty offers, coupons, and checkout procedures in accordance with company policy.
• Adhere to cash handling limits and control loss effectively and honestly.
• Follow guidelines on restricted sale items like alcohol, tobacco, and DVDs.
• Report pricing discrepancies to the Scan Coordinator.
• Follow established policies for postage stamps, gift cards, and coupons.
• Stay updated with current and upcoming advertisements.
• Comply with all food safety regulations and safety procedures, reporting unsafe conditions or incidents.
• Support a welcoming environment by assisting customers and answering questions about store products.
• Follow all applicable laws and company policies.
• Work cooperatively in a fast-paced, sometimes stressful environment and manage conflicts professionally.
• Act with honesty and integrity regarding customer and business information.
• Seek assistance when needed to resolve issues and support customers, including minors, individuals with special needs, and older adults.
