We are seeking a friendly and efficient Cashier to process customer transactions quickly, accurately, and efficiently at our store. The ideal candidate will understand and operate the Point of Sale (POS) system, handle various tenders such as cash, checks, credit, debit, SNAP EBT, WIC, rain checks, coupons, and loyalty offers, while adhering to company policies.

Responsibilities include:

1. Processing transactions accurately and efficiently.
2. Understanding and adhering to cash handling limits and loss prevention policies.
3. Following guidelines on restricted sale items like alcohol, tobacco, and DVDs.
4. Reporting pricing discrepancies and following policies for postage stamps, gift cards, and coupons.
5. Staying current with store ads and promotions.
6. Adhering to food safety regulations and safety procedures.
7. Creating a welcoming environment for customers and assisting with product inquiries.
8. Following all legal and company guidelines.
9. Managing conflicts professionally and acting with honesty and integrity.
10. Supporting diverse customer needs, including minors, individuals with special needs, and older adults.
