Minimum Position Qualifications:

• Customer service experience
• Effective communication skills
• Knowledge of basic math (counting, addition, and subtraction)

• Prior experience as a Bagger or Courtesy Clerk

Essential Job Functions:

1. Greet, engage, and assist customers actively and visibly.
2. Process customer transactions quickly, accurately, and efficiently.
3. Handle various tenders such as Cash, Checks, Credit, Debit, SNAP EBT, Offline SNAP EBT, WIC, Rain checks, loyalty offers, coupons, and checkout procedures according to company policy.
4. Understand and adhere to company's cash handling limits and loss prevention policies.
5. Follow guidelines on restricted sale items (Alcohol, Tobacco, DVDs).
6. Report pricing discrepancies to the Scan Coordinator.
7. Follow policies for postage stamps, gift cards, and coupons.
8. Stay current with advertisements and promotions.
9. Adhere to food safety regulations and guidelines.
10. Follow safety procedures, identify unsafe conditions, and report issues.
11. Perform preventive maintenance and notify management of equipment needs.
12. Create a welcoming environment, answering questions about products.
13. Comply with all laws, regulations, and company policies.
14. Work cooperatively in a high-paced, sometimes stressful environment.
15. Manage conflict professionally and cooperatively.
16. Act with honesty and integrity regarding customer and business information.
17. Follow directions and seek assistance when needed.
18. Support minors, individuals with special needs, and older adults.
