Job Responsibilities
  • Process customer transactions quickly, accurately, and efficiently at the check lane.
  • Understand and operate the Point of Sale (POS) system, handling various tenders and offers according to company policy.
  • Adhere to cash handling limits and work honestly to control loss.
  • Follow guidelines on restricted sale items such as alcohol, tobacco, and DVDs.
  • Report pricing discrepancies and stay current with store promotions and advertisements.
  • Comply with all food safety, safety procedures, and regulations.
  • Create a welcoming environment for customers by assisting with questions and ensuring they feel valued.
  • Follow all applicable laws and company policies.
  • Work cooperatively in a high-paced, sometimes stressful environment and manage conflicts professionally.
  • Act with honesty and integrity regarding customer and business information.
  • Assist and support customers, including minors, individuals with special needs, and older adults.
  • Perform essential job functions with or without reasonable accommodations.
