Job Description

Responsibilities

Essential Job Functions:

• Greet, engage, and assist customers actively and visibly.
• Process customer transactions quickly, accurately, and efficiently.
• Understand and operate the Point of Sale (POS) system, handling various tenders and transactions according to company policy.
• Adhere to company policies on cash handling, restricted sale items, and pricing discrepancies.
• Follow policies for postage stamps, gift cards, and coupons, and stay current with promotions.
• Comply with food safety and safety procedures, report unsafe conditions, and perform equipment inspections.
• Create a welcoming environment for customers, answering questions about products.
• Follow all applicable laws and company guidelines.
• Work cooperatively in a high-paced environment, manage conflicts professionally, and act with honesty and integrity.
• Assist customers, including minors, individuals with special needs, and older adults.
• Perform essential functions with or without reasonable accommodation.

Qualifications

Minimum Position Qualifications:

• Customer service experience
• Effective communication skills
• Basic math skills (counting, addition, subtraction)

Desired Previous Job Experience:

• Customer service experience
• Experience as a Bagger or Courtesy Clerk
