Job Responsibilities:
  • Process customer transactions quickly, accurately, and efficiently at the check lane.
  • Operate the Point of Sale (POS) system, handling various tenders and adhering to company policies on cash shortages/overages.
  • Follow guidelines on restricted sale items (Alcohol, Tobacco, DVDs).
  • Report pricing discrepancies and adhere to policies on postage stamps, gift cards, and coupons.
  • Stay current with advertisements and promotions.
  • Comply with food safety regulations and safety procedures, reporting unsafe conditions or accidents.
  • Inspect equipment regularly and notify management of repairs needed.
  • Create a welcoming environment by assisting customers and answering questions.
  • Follow all laws and company guidelines, managing conflict professionally and acting with integrity.
  • Support and assist diverse customers, including minors, individuals with special needs, and older adults.
  • Perform essential job functions with or without reasonable accommodations.
