Responsibilities

As a Cashier at Sprouts Farmers Market, you will be the face of the company, processing customer orders quickly, accurately, and efficiently while ensuring complete customer satisfaction through prompt and friendly service. Your duties include handling cash, credit/debit payments, providing product information, resolving complaints, assisting with stocking shelves, facing, and dusting. You will also maintain knowledge of weekly ad items, direct customers to products, and stay informed about upcoming events and seminars. Maintaining a clean and orderly checkout area and executing other duties as assigned are also part of your role.

Qualifications

• Be at least 18 years old with a high school diploma or equivalent, and have 1-2 years of recent cashiering experience.
• Have an outgoing, friendly demeanor, a positive attitude, and strong customer interaction skills.
• Ability to operate front-end equipment such as registers, calculators, and scanners.
• Dependability to work a flexible schedule, including nights, weekends, and holidays.
• Good communication skills, ability to take direction and work in a team.
• Ability to perform repetitive tasks, multitask, prioritize, and stay organized.
• Must lift/carry up to 30 lbs. and move grocery carts requiring up to 35 lbs. of force.
• Strong attention to detail, proficiency in cash handling, and numerical skills.
