Job Responsibilities:
  • Process customer transactions quickly, accurately, and efficiently at the check lane.
  • Understand and operate the Point of Sale (POS) system, handling various tenders and loyalty offers according to company policy.
  • Adhere to cash handling limits, prevent loss, and follow guidelines on restricted sale items such as alcohol, tobacco, and DVDs.
  • Report pricing discrepancies and follow policies for postage stamps, gift cards, and coupons.
  • Stay current with advertisements and adhere to food safety regulations.
  • Follow safety procedures, identify unsafe conditions, and report issues promptly.
  • Maintain equipment and notify management of repairs needed.
  • Create a welcoming environment for customers by answering questions and assisting with products throughout the store.
  • Comply with all applicable laws and company policies.
  • Work cooperatively in a high-paced environment, managing conflicts professionally.
  • Act with honesty and integrity regarding customer and business information.
  • Follow directions and seek assistance to resolve issues effectively.
  • Support and assist diverse customer needs, including minors, individuals with special needs, and older adults.
