Key Responsibilities
  • Process customer transactions quickly, accurately, and efficiently at the check lane.
  • Operate the Point of Sale (POS) system, handling various tenders and adhering to company policies on cash shortages and overages.
  • Follow guidelines on restricted sale items (Alcohol, Tobacco, DVDs).
  • Report pricing discrepancies and follow established procedures for postage stamps, gift cards, and coupons.
  • Stay updated on current and upcoming promotions and adhere to food safety regulations.
  • Reinforce safety procedures, identify unsafe conditions, and report issues promptly.
  • Maintain equipment and notify management of repairs needed.
  • Create a welcoming environment for customers, assisting with inquiries about products throughout the store.
  • Comply with all applicable laws and company policies.
  • Work cooperatively in a fast-paced environment and manage conflicts effectively.
  • Act with honesty and integrity, safeguarding customer and business information.
  • Follow directions and seek assistance when needed to resolve issues.
  • Support and assist minors, individuals with special needs, and older adults.
  • Perform essential job functions with or without reasonable accommodations.
