Job summary

Truman Medical Center is seeking a Cash Posting Team Lead to oversee cash posting, reconciliation, and compliance across two hospitals. The hybrid role requires mentoring a team, resolving discrepancies, and maintaining accurate financial records.

You'll balance daily operations, review reports, and drive process improvements while ensuring accuracy and regulatory adherence in a fast-paced healthcare environment.

Qualifications

Cash Posting Lead Lead the Charge in Financial Accuracy - Your Expertise is the Key! Ready to take your financial skills to the next level? As the Cash Posting Lead , you'll be the wizard behind the scenes ensuring payments flow smoothly and accurately for two hospitals. You'll have the opportunity to not only master cash posting and account reconciliation but also mentor a team, troubleshoot issues, and elevate the entire process. What You’ll Be Doing:

• Master the Art of Cash Posting : You’ll manage patient and third-party remittances , ensuring payments are posted with precision. Daily system balancing? No problem! You’ve got it covered.
• Reconcile Like a Pro : With your keen eye for detail, you’ll reconcile daily and monthly transactions between billing entities, ensuring everything is smooth and accurate.
• Be the Compliance Champion : You’ll make sure payments and contractual allowances meet the high standards set by University Health , all while ensuring compliance with regulations.
• Lead and Inspire : Take the reins by supervising and mentoring a team of Cash Posters. You’ll be their go-to resource for guidance and troubleshooting, stepping in to take on supervisory duties when needed.
• Solve Problems : When something doesn’t quite add up, you’ll step in and identify the issue, keeping everything on track and reporting irregularities as needed.
• Improve the Process : You’ll keep a close eye on daily and monthly reports, always looking for ways to streamline the process and make things even more efficient.

What We’re Looking For:

• A Degree and Experience : An Associate's degree (or equivalent) in Accounting or a related field is ideal, and experience with cash posting and account reconciliation is a must.
• Clear Communicator : You’ll be explaining complex procedures to your team and working closely with other departments, so you’ll need strong verbal and written communication skills.
• Tech-Savvy : You should be proficient in patient accounting systems and spreadsheets (Excel is your friend!), plus you’ve got solid keyboard skills and can navigate a 10-key keypad with ease.
• Detail-Oriented : You’ll juggle multiple financial tasks with accuracy, ensuring nothing slips through the cracks.
• Leadership Potential : Have you led teams before? Awesome! If not, no worries-this is your chance to grow into a leadership role and guide your team to success.
