North Star Bank in White Bear Lake, MN, is seeking a full-time Cash Management professional to service business customers and perform daily critical operations. Under VP Operations, you will manage wiring files, ACH processing, remote deposits and access setup, ensuring accuracy and security.

The role emphasizes strong customer service, compliance with ACH/OFAC rules, and collaboration across departments while maintaining high data integrity and timely processing.

Formación

  • Experience in bank operations, deposit and cash management.
  • Knowledge of ACH, OFAC, Reg CC/E and related bank regulations.
  • Experience using digital payment technologies is required.

Responsabilidades

  • Verify wire transfer files via business online.

  • Report positive OFAC hits.
  • Set up cash management customers and users in access manager.
  • Assist customers with ACH files and online banking access.
  • Troubleshoot remote deposit capture inquiries.
  • Support the finance team with securities payments and reconciliation.
  • Ensure compliance with bank policies and regulatory requirements.

We are currently looking for a full-time Cash Management individual to join our team and support our company operations. Under the general direction of VP Operations, this position is responsible for servicing our cash management (business) customers and performing daily critical operation functions. Accountabilities include daily settlement of UBB and EBA accounts, verification of wire transfer files received through business online, creation of all wire transfer requests in UBB’s ISO 20022 UNET.web system, reporting of positive OFAC hits, posting of outgoing and incoming wires to customer or internal accounts, setting up cash management customers and approved users in access manager per executed contracts, assisting customers with origination of ACH files, verification and approval of ACH files submitted over the approved file limit, establishing business online user access and training them on how to use contracted services, troubleshooting remote deposit capture inquiries, periodic review of remote deposit files submitted to ensure proper usage, temporary limit adjustments to ACH, remote deposit, and mobile deposit. Reviews query reports to learn of business online exceptions and payment activities. Additional responsibilities include; Responding to specific requests during audits and examinations, compliance reviews, state banking authorities, and FDIC. Provides backup support for other deposit operation functions such as review and approval of mobile deposits, contactus emails (website) and estar emails (online banking). Supporting the finance team to include posting of securities portfolio principal and interest payments, and reconciliation of internal checking accounts. This role must understand and comply with compliance requirements that pertain to assigned activities and the following specific bank policies and procedures for wire transfer, remote deposit, ACH, digital banking, mobile deposit, and protecting customer information. Individual is responsible for ensuring compliance with all Bank policies and procedures, as well as applicable state and federal banking regulations including but not limited to: ACH Rules, BSA and OFAC requirements, Regulation D, Regulation E, Red Flag, and Regulation CC.

Education and Special Requirements
  • Business, math, and communication skills generally acquired through post high school education in general accounting principles, and work experience in a bank with emphasis in deposit and cash management operations
  • Ability to demonstrate knowledge and business acumen in bank operations
  • Experience using digital payment technologies is required
  • Proficiency in Word, Excel, and Outlook to create and maintain various documents and reports and send communications to customers and bank staff
  • Fiserv Core banking system preferred
  • Audit background beneficial
  • 1-3 years in customer service role
  • 2+ years of extensive experience in bank operations environment
  • Working knowledge of Excel, Microsoft Word, and Outlook
  • Fiserv Core banking system beneficial
  • Audit background helpful

Compensation Commensurate with experience:

The beginning hourly base pay for this position starts at $22.50. This beginning base pay represents a good faith and reasonable estimate of the minimum base range of possible compensation at the time of posting. If an applicant possesses experience, education, or other qualifications more than the minimum requirements for this posting, that applicant is encouraged to apply, and a final salary range may then be based on those additional qualifications; compensation decisions are dependent on the facts and circumstances of each case. The compensation of the finalist selected for this role will be based on a variety of factors, including but not limited to, years of experience, depth of experience, seniority, merit, education, training, and other relevant business considerations.
