Job summary

Hy-Vee Inc. is seeking a Cash Accountability team member to ensure accurate and secure cash handling in-store operations. You will count and balance registers, manage the safe, and investigate discrepancies while supporting cashiers and store teams.

Ideal candidates are detail-oriented, trustworthy, and capable of handling confidential financial information with integrity, delivering prompt service to customers throughout shifts.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• 6 months to 1 year of related experience preferred.
• Attention to detail and integrity when handling financial information.
• Ability to follow instructions and operate POS equipment.

Responsibilities

• Greet customers and provide prompt, friendly service.
• Count and balance registers after each shift.
• Secure cash in the safe and manage cash on hand.
• Process checks, coupons, payouts, and payments.
• Troubleshoot basic register issues and assist as needed.
• Train cashiers and support store operations.
