Hy-Vee is hiring for a part-time Cash Accountability role in Peoria, IL. You will help keep store finances accurate by counting and balancing registers, managing the safe, and investigating discrepancies while supporting cashiers to serve customers efficiently.

Applicants should have 6 months to 1 year of related experience and a high school diploma or equivalent. The role involves standing, handling cash, and using store POS systems throughout shifts.

Competenze

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• 6 months to 1 year of similar or related experience preferred.
• Experience with cash handling and balancing cash drawers is a plus.

Mansioni

• Provide prompt, friendly customer service and greet customers with a smile.
• Count registers after each cashier shift and balance for cash and coin.
• Ensure cash in the safe and manage cash pulls as needed.
• Sort checks, coupons, payouts, and charges into correct register files.
• Calculate cash over/short and investigate discrepancies.
• Train cashiers and assist in ongoing training programs.
• Operate POS and computer programs with mouse, 10-key keypad, and keyboard.
