Job summary

Collectors Universe, Inc. in Santa Ana, CA is seeking a Cash Applications Clerk to join our Accounts Receivable and Collections team in a high-volume, fast-paced environment. You will apply customer payments to orders, reconcile, and help keep show order projects on track.

You will process daily deposits, handle credit card payments, scan documents, and resolve short payments. Proficiency with Salesforce, MS Excel, Google Workspace, and ERP systems is preferred, with Netsuite being a plus.

Qualifications

• 2-5 years of cash application, accounts receivable or related experience in a fast paced, high-volume environment.
• Accounting Certificate or Associate Degree preferred.
• Bilingual in English/Spanish is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Apply customer payments to their accounts accurately and in a timely fashion.
• Prepare daily bank deposits by using a scanner and then posting to the appropriate customer order.
• Process customer credit card payments in accordance with company policy.
• Reconcile payments to ensure proper application.
• Maintain files, including scanning documents to electronic files.
• Troubleshoot problem orders and accounting holds.
• Create, maintain/track, and close show order projects.
• Resolve customer short payments by contacting the customer via email and phone.
• Answer and respond to customer incoming phone calls and emails in a timely manner.
• Work with new and changing company processes.
• Occasional travel required.
