Job summary

Ledgent Finance & Accounting is seeking an experienced Cash Applications Specialist in North Houston for a direct-hire opportunity. You will apply and post customer payments, reconcile cash receipts to customer accounts, and collaborate with AR, Collections, and Customer Service to resolve payment issues.

Requirements include 2+ years in cash applications or AR, strong reconciliation and analytical skills, proficiency with Excel, and experience with ERP systems such as SAP, Oracle, NetSuite, or

Qualifications

• 2+ years of cash applications, accounts receivable, or related accounting experience.
• Experience processing high-volume transactions.
• Strong reconciliation and analytical skills.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Excel.
• Experience with ERP systems such as SAP, Oracle, NetSuite, Microsoft Dynamics, or similar.

Responsibilities

• Apply and post customer payments, including ACH, wire transfers, lockbox deposits, and checks.
• Research and resolve unapplied cash, short payments, deductions, and payment discrepancies.
• Reconcile cash receipts to customer accounts and bank activity.
• Maintain accurate customer account records and payment histories.
• Collaborate with Accounts Receivable, Collections, and Customer Service teams to resolve payment issues.
• Support month-end close activities, reporting, and account reconciliations.
• Identify opportunities to improve processes and efficiencies.
