Responsibilities

• Identifying Payment Details: Review payment information such as remittance advice or payment reference numbers to accurately match payments with the correct customer and invoice.
• Applying Payments: Apply payments to the appropriate outstanding invoices or accounts to update customer balances and reflect accurate financial records in the accounting system.
• Reconciliation: Ensure that all payments are correctly recorded and reconcile them with bank statements and the company's accounting records.
• Resolving Discrepancies: Investigate and resolve any discrepancies, such as short payments or missing details, which may involve contacting customers or further investigation.
