We are looking for a full-time Cash Application Specialist to join our customer-focused, supportive billing team.

• Position: Cash Application Specialist
• Location: In a serviceable area
• Hours: Monday-Friday, 8a-5p
  • Fully remote

THE POSITION: We are seeking a detail-oriented and reliable Cash Applications Specialist to join our Billing team. In this critical role, you will be responsible for receiving and accurately applying payments from customers and third-party reimbursement sources. Your contributions will directly support our revenue cycle operations, ensuring timely and accurate processing of monetary transactions.

• Accurately total cash and checks for bank deposits
• Compile reports for collections, disbursements, and bank reconciliations
• Post adjustments and write-offs to customer accounts
• Initiate secondary claims processing
• Apply incoming cash to individual customer accounts
• Process insurance payments in the electronic patient accounting system
• File remittance advices and maintain organized records

REQUIREMENTS:

• Strong communication and interpersonal skills
• High attention to detail and demonstrated initiative
• Ability to problem solve and work independently
• Technical skills, including experience with Microsoft Excel
• Previous medical billing experience preferred
• Bright tree experience preferred
• Knowledge of medical coding is a plus.
• Education: High school diploma or GED required
• Experience: Minimum 1 year of relevant experience in cash applications, billing, or related field preferred

SALARY RANGE:

At PHS, we are committed to providing specialized care for medically complex children. Every role, from direct patient care to customer support, plays a vital part in improving the lives of kids and families. The impact you make is invaluable. We are dedicated to offering fair and transparent compensation to our team members. The range for this role is $20.66 to $22.73 hourly, based on experience and qualifications.
