Job description

We are currently recruiting for an Accounts Receivable/Cash Analyst in White Plains, NY / Purchase, NY area. This is a 6-9 month+ contract position (hybrid schedule in-office 3 days). The ideal candidate will have 1+ years of experience with Accounts Receivable, applying cash with strong excel skills. Mon - Fri standard business hours = 40 hours per week. Pay rate $28.00-$35.00 hourly.

Responsibilities

• Ensures timely and accurate application of cash receipts to the receivable.
• Supports the Query Management process to ensure timely follow up and resolution of queries.
• Support development, maintenance and distribution of concise and accurate reporting of balances.
• Troubleshoot data reconciliation and variance issues with internal departments as well as with the Broker’s Accounts Payable team to resolve unallocated cash issues.
• Strong Analytical ability, and detail oriented with the ability to work on high volume of daily transactions.
• Develop strong relationships with our internal Underwriting Units to ensure quality service.
• Provide Information for all EY Audit Requests, premium confirmation letters and support for all requested balances.
• Support the bank reconciliation process and intercompany transfer process.
• Ad-hoc project requests as assigned

Requirements

• 1+ years of Accounts Receivable and Cash Accounting experience in commercial collections
• Must have proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite, SAP/CD a plus, strong Excel Skills Required (Pivot Tables, V-Lookups, etc.)
• Basic understanding of accounting procedures, internal and external reporting and variance analysis. Insurance industry experience a plus
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills
• Detailed oriented, organized, and strong problem solver with Analytical abilities and have a high level of accuracy
• Ability to work in a fast paced, high volume team environment with rapidly changing priorities and demands
