Job description

The Center for the Integration & Advancement of New Americans (CIANA) is a social services organization that works to integrate new immigrants from the Middle East, North Africa, South Asia, Latin America, and West Africa into the socio-economic and civic life of American society while maintaining pride in their cultural heritage.

CIANA's Casework Team Supervisor is a critical part of CIANA's leadership team, overseeing CIANA's client casework program, supervising staff, volunteers, and interns, providing direct case management, and coordinating with other departments to ensure effective outreach and both internal and external referrals.

Duties and Responsibilities
  • Lead and train a team of case managers, interns, and volunteers, connecting clients with employment, housing, healthcare, financial, education, public benefits, and community resources.
  • Provide direct casework counseling, maintain thorough and up-to-date case notes, keep accurate and timely records, and ensure data is consistently logged across attendance, program, and database systems.
  • Serve as the central point of contact across programs — conducting client intake, fielding service inquiries, and coordinating logistics between program staff, volunteers, and day-to-day operations.
  • Track and ensure that funder metrics and reporting requirements are met in a timely and accurate manner.
  • Coordinate outreach and advocacy efforts related to the casework program, keep community resource and contact lists current, and contribute to social media, newsletters, and public relations events.
  • Build and sustain relationships with coalition and community partners, and represent the organization at relevant community events and meetings.
  • Foster a welcoming, positive, supportive, and inclusive office environment with opportunities for staff growth and development.
Qualifications
  • Organized, flexible, and people-oriented, with strong multitasking skills and the ability to communicate across programs and manage a dynamic office environment; proficiency in Microsoft Office and/or Google Suite required.
  • Minimum BA degree, two years' experience in casework or case management, and at least one year of supervisory experience.
  • Experience with public benefits access, including the Access/HRA portal and similar systems.
  • Bilingual preferred, with proficiency in a language other than English; Arabic or Spanish strongly preferred.
