Job summary

State of North Carolina - Judicial Branch is seeking a CDM Judicial Assistant (S) in Mecklenburg County to provide essential Caseflow coordination and administrative support. The role focuses on scheduling conferences, hearings for Superior Court cases, and accurate data entry in a fast-paced environment.

Applicants should have a human services degree or related field with relevant experience and strong Microsoft Word/Excel/Outlook skills.

Qualifications

  • Graduation from a four-year college or university with a degree in a human services field and one year of relevant experience; or an associate degree with three years of related experience; or equivalent combination.
  • Strong knowledge of court procedures, legal terminology is beneficial.
  • Excellent time management, organization, and attention to detail; strong communication skills.

Responsibilities

  • Schedule hearings for Superior Court criminal cases and conduct scheduling conferences for felony teams.
  • Enter data quickly and accurately; maintain caseflow records and reports.
  • Serve as back-up to other Caseflow Coordinators and liaise with the public, bar, and court staff.
  • Compile data and produce statistical reports; support special projects as assigned.
