Job summary

ALLEN DISTRIBUTION in Carlisle, PA seeks a dedicated Machine Operator (Case Packer) to support the Operations team on the 1st shift. The role focuses on keeping production lines running, meeting schedules, and maintaining equipment reliability.

Typical responsibilities include following SOPs, changing over machines, and performing preventative maintenance. This full-time position starts at $21 per hour, with overtime potential as needed.

Qualifications

• Must be able to lift 50lbs., stand for extended periods.
• Ability to work in a non-climate control environment.
• The ability to perform basic mechanical functions.
• The ability to understand the production schedule.

Responsibilities

• Follow Standard Operating Procedures (SOP) and specific customer work instructions.
• Minimize machine downtime through effective and efficient trouble shooting.
• Complete machine changeovers in established (SOP) time frames.
• Insure machines are running at established (SOP) speeds.
• Keep machines loaded with packaging materials.
• Responsible for Weekly Machine PM
• Inspection of vacuum system. Clean filter and suction cups. Reassemble
• Inspect and clean dancing bar, pinch rollers, nip rollers
• Inspect knife for damage
• Inspection and cleaning of glue area.
• Inspect heat tunnel belt for plastic build up.
• Safety panels inspection and cleaning.
• Help other team members when time permits.
