Job summary

Carlisle is seeking an entry-level 1st shift associate to assist line operators in processing materials. You will perform duties including loading, packaging, palletizing, quality checks, and housekeeping while following safety requirements. You will also be trained on forklift operation and must read and interpret production orders.

Qualifications

• Must be 18 years or older.
• Ability to safely operate a forklift with training provided.
• Ability to read documents and interpret facts and draw conclusions.
• Understanding basic math, reading, and writing.
• Good communication, organization, and time management skills.

Responsibilities

• Assist operators at coil loading and packaging ends of the line as needed.
• Build pallets and shipping containers using hand and power tools.
• Band and palletize metal coils and/or metal sheets, placing tags on finished products.
• Perform quality checks to verify proper lengths, widths, and weights.
• Detect and report faulty operations or defective materials.
• Move or carry parts, equipment, or materials.
• Read and understand production orders.
• Wrap and unwrap materials; housekeeping of work areas.
• Operate a sit-down forklift and meet production goals following safety rules.
