Job summary

McCready Law is seeking an experienced Case Manager Team Lead to direct and coach assigned team members, ensure accurate case progression, and maintain high-quality client service. You will use Teams and firm channels to support daily operations and address escalations.

Ideal candidates have 3+ years in personal injury case management, proven leadership, and strong organizational skills. Proficiency with SmartAdvocate and MS Office is expected; a willingness to learn is essential.

Qualifications

  • 3+ years of progressively responsible personal injury case management or pre-litigation experience preferred.
  • Experience leading, mentoring, training, auditing, or providing quality oversight preferred.
  • Ability to manage a personal caseload accurately and meet client contact, documentation, and progression standards.
  • Knowledge of personal injury case flow, medical treatment, liability, insurance, damages documentation, and escalation points.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills with ability to provide direct, constructive feedback respectfully.
  • Ability to analyze reports and file activity, recognize trends, prioritize risks, and follow through on corrective action.
  • Proficiency with SmartAdvocate, Microsoft Teams, Microsoft Office, or ability to learn them quickly.
  • High level of organization, reliability, discretion, sound judgment, and accountability.
  • High school diploma or equivalent required; additional education or training preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Provide daily direction, coaching, and support to assigned team members

  • Conduct regular one-on-one meetings to review performance and priorities
  • Review workloads, deadlines, and case progression to identify delays or risks
  • Complete weekly file audits and provide clear feedback
  • Monitor quality and accuracy of case notes, client communication, and documentation
  • Help team members prioritize competing demands and maintain accountability
  • Address routine client, carrier, workflow, and team escalations
  • Elevate legal questions, case risks, missed deadlines, and sensitive issues
  • Coordinate with attorneys, HR, and departments to resolve issues
  • Support training, onboarding, and knowledge sharing for Case Managers
  • Identify recurring workflow challenges and propose improvements
  • Maintain a reduced caseload while meeting quality and documentation standards

Requirements
  • At least three years of progressively responsible personal injury case management or pre litigation experience is preferred
  • Previous experience leading, mentoring, training, auditing, or providing quality oversight is preferred
  • Demonstrated ability to manage a personal caseload accurately and meet client contact, documentation, and case progression standards
  • Working knowledge of personal injury case flow, medical treatment, liability, insurance coverage, damages documentation, and common escalation points
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills, including the ability to provide direct and constructive feedback respectfully
  • Ability to analyze reports and file activity, recognize trends, prioritize risks, and follow through on corrective action
