Job summary

Connecticut Renaissance is seeking a dedicated Case Manager for its Community Release program in Waterbury, CT. The role provides educational and vocational assistance to clients and acts as a liaison with employers.

You will run weekly Life after Incarceration and employment readiness groups, help clients craft resumes, arrange transportation to interviews, and report on progress to the program director.

Qualifications

• Associates Degree in related field; Bachelor's preferred.
• Experience leading meetings/presentations with business partners.
• Experience in job development/placement and residential settings.

Responsibilities

• Facilitate a weekly LAI Life after Incarceration group for all clients.
• Lead a weekly employment readiness class with mock interviews and general employment Q&A.
• Ensure clients have updated resumes with referrals to training/education/employment.
• Initiate contact with prospective employers and agencies for clients.
• Transport clients to interviews, job fairs and employment activities.
• Conduct weekly employment verification calls per DOC requirements.
• Complete weekly employment progress reports and monthly status reports.
• Other duties as assigned, including Counselor on Duty coverage.
