Job summary

Macomb County Government's Community Mental Health is seeking a Case Manager for Children’s Severe Emotionally Disturbed (SED). The role provides direct services, coordinates care, and maintains documentation using an electronic medical record system.

The position requires a bachelor’s degree in a mental health field or related credentialed experience; a master’s degree is preferred, with licensure or eligibility for the CMHP guidelines. Full-time with standard county benefits.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Psychology, Social Work, Special Education, Counseling, or other mental health related field required.
• One year of experience with minors and families or three years supervised experience for those with a bachelor’s in a mental health field.
• Master’s degree in a mental health field preferred; BCaBA/BCBA/psychologist credential for BHT/ABA scope.

Responsibilities

• Conducts assessments, service planning, and intensive case management for assigned individuals.
• Coordinates with families, aftercare programs, and health providers to ensure continuity of care.
• Documents in the electronic medical record and participates in trainings and supervision.
