Tampa General Hospital is seeking a Case Management Team Lead to provide clinical leadership and operational support within the Case Management Department at the Tampa campus. The role coordinates staffing, scheduling, and workflow while mentoring team members to uphold clinical excellence and regulatory compliance.

Leading cross-disciplinary collaboration, you will guide staff through medical necessity criteria, authorizations, and care coordination.

Competenze

• BS Nursing required or Associates degree in Nursing with a nursing certification.
• Three (3) years clinical experience with one (1) year in Utilization Management/ Case Management or two years in Emergency Management.
• Ability to read, write and speak English clearly; proficient with Microsoft Office.

• Oversees daily staffing, scheduling, and workflow to ensure appropriate coverage and continuity of utilization and case management services.
• Delivers side-by-side mentorship and skill development to promote clinical excellence and adherence to standards.
• Ensures team members follow professional standards, hospital policies, payer requirements, and regulatory guidelines.
• Guides staff in interpreting medical necessity criteria and obtaining timely authorizations.
• Serves as escalation resource for complex clinical or payer issues and supports resolution.
• Identifies trends and opportunities in practice and workflow for leadership review.
• Promotes collaboration among physicians, nursing, social work, finance, and ancillary departments.
• Arranges staff coverage and provides direct coverage as needed to meet patient care demands.
• Supports onboarding and ongoing education of new employees and students.
• Demonstrates professionalism, accountability, teamwork, and service excellence.
