Job summary

HCA Healthcare Summerville Hospital is seeking a Case Management Administrative Assistant to support discharge planning and post-acute services. The CMA will assist in coordinating discharges under RN Case Manager or Social Worker supervision and provide essential administrative support, including room-side engagement with patients.

Ideal candidates have a high school diploma or equivalent, healthcare experience, and knowledge of medical terminology.

Qualifications

High school diploma or equivalent required
Associate Degree preferred
Medical/Terminology knowledge required
Minimum of one year experience in healthcare setting required
Healthcare professional (CNA/PCT/EMT) preferred

Responsibilities

Assist with facilitating patient discharges requiring post-acute placement or services
Identify and report barriers to discharges
Provide administrative support in Case Management functions
Must be comfortable going into patient rooms
