Coastal Carolina University is currently accepting applications for the following full-time position: Case Investigator in the Office of Title IX and Protected Rights.
The Case Investigator in the Office of Protected Rights and Title IX is responsible for conducting prompt, thorough, and impartial investigations into allegations of protected rights violations or other University policy or Code of Conduct violations, as assigned, by developing and executing comprehensive investigative plans.
This role gathers, analyzes, and assesses relevant information and evidence, interviews involved parties, and applies applicable policies to ensure fair and equitable outcomes.
The investigator prepares detailed written reports summarizing investigative findings and supports the office’s efforts in maintaining accurate records, reporting trends, and identifying areas of concern within the campus community.
The position also contributes to policy and procedure review to ensure legal compliance and alignment with best practices.
Additionally, the Case Investigator manages special projects and supports broader University compliance initiatives.
Through training, outreach, and educational programming, the role promotes awareness of protected rights and fosters a safe and compliant campus environment.
Investigator IV (JA20/61122714/FTE-S01181P), full-time position with benefits. SC State Pay Grade: GEN09. Salary range: $52,100.00 (minimum) – $70,300.00 (midpoint). Normal work hours are Monday through Thursday, 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. and Friday 8:00 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. Must be flexible to meet the special scheduling needs of the university.

A bachelor’s degree in a job related field and three (3) years experience investigating allegations of misconduct which may be substituted by an equivalent combination of job related certification, training, education, and/or experience; Experience working in higher education or administration in K-12 schools.
Juris Doctor; Experience investigating allegations of discrimination, violations of policy or code(s) of conduct.
