Job summary

Phoenix Service Corporation in Saint Paul, MN, is seeking a full-time Case Aide to provide administrative and office management support across departments. The role requires proficiency with office software such as SSIS, SharePoint, Tumbleweed, MNBenefits and Dropbox; it is a non-exempt position with a daytime schedule

Qualifications

  • High School Diploma required.
  • Two or more years experience with persons with disabilities preferred.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Excellent problem solving and organizational skills.
  • Telephone, computer, and communication skills.
  • Ability to read, write and speak English.
  • Must have a valid driver license and ability to travel.

  • Communicate effectively with staff to promote high-quality, efficient service and foster cordial relationships.
  • Provide clerical and administrative support including downloading files, preparing forms, processing correspondence, and managing documentation.
  • Adhere to state and county policies and complete necessary documentation.
  • Monitor emergencies and maintain an injury-free workplace by reporting hazards.
  • Participate in ongoing education about BI, CADI, waiver programs and Rule 185 Targeted Case Management.
  • Support case managers and staff as needs arise.

Phoenix Service Corporation has a full-time Case Aide position available. No evenings, weekends or holidays! Starting wage is $18.00/hour, based on experience.


POSITION PURPOSE:

The Case Aide provides administrative and office management support to all departments within the organization. The Case Aide is responsible for aiding the Community Support departments in the coordination of services for vulnerable individuals, including individuals with disabilities and those who have experienced long term homelessness.


NATURE AND SCOPE:

This position reports to the Director of Community Services and works closely with Case Managers and other staff. The Case Aide is responsible for a variety of administrative tasks and must be proficient in using office software and systems including SSIS, SharePoint, Tumbleweed, MNBenefits, and Dropbox. This is a non-exempt position.


JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:


  • 1. CUSTOMER/HUMAN RELATIONS - Communicates effectively with agency staff promoting high quality and efficient service provision. Displays positive, supportive, and cooperative conduct. Maintains and fosters cordial relationships and optimal communication. Communicates effectively verbally and in writing; listens accurately and responds appropriately.

  • 2. STAFF SUPPORT- Provide clerical and administrative support including downloading files, preparing forms, processing correspondence, and managing documentation. Support office management functions for all departments.

  • 3. REGULATION COMPLIANCE- Adheres to and maintains knowledge of various rules, regulations, and state and county policies regarding the Home and Community Based Waivers completes all necessary documentation.

  • 4. SAFETY- Monitors and responds to emergencies according to established policies and guidelines. Maintains an injury free workplace by identifying and reporting unsafe working conditions.

  • 5. DEVELOPMENT OF POSITION: Participates in on-going education in topics regarding the BI, CADI, BI, DD waiver programs, Rule 185 Targeted Case Management as well as topics related to diagnoses of the individuals served. Attends and completes all annual in-service requirements.

  • 6. ASSUMES ADDITIONAL RESPONSIBILITIES: Is willing to provide support for case managers and other staff as needed for upcoming needs as they arise.


QUALIFICATIONS:


  • High School Diploma required

  • Two (2) plus years experience working with persons with disabilities preferred

  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills

  • Excellent problem solving and organizational skills

  • Telephone, computer, and communication skills

  • Ability to read, write and speak English

  • Ability to see and hear adequately to respond to emergency situations.

  • Ability to travel to meet with clients and attend meetings, holds a valid driver license and maintains a safe driving record.

  • Ability to sit, stand, reach, and bend.
