Gale Hotel Miami is seeking a Food Runner to deliver meals from kitchen to tables promptly and accurately while keeping the expo area organized and clean.

You will coordinate with front-of-house and back-of-house teams, relay orders, assist with table setting, and maintain food safety standards in a fast-paced environment. Bilingual English/Spanish a plus.

Qualifications

• Minimum 1 year of experience in a restaurant as a Busser, Food Runner, or entry-level role.
• Flexible to work weekends, evenings, and holidays.
• Understanding of hygiene and food safety rules.
• Ability to carry heavy trays and stand for long hours.
• Friendly, responsible, and punctual.

• Ability to multi-task.

Responsabilités

• Deliver food orders from kitchen to tables quickly and accurately.
• Serve as a liaison between Front of House and Back of House staff.
• Communicate orders to chefs, noting allergies and priorities.
• Assist wait staff with setting tables and supplying serviceware.
• Ensure food safety and proper temperatures.
• Check in with customers and refill water as needed.
• Remove dirty dishes and maintain cleanliness.
• Uphold sanitation and food safety standards.
• Check in with customers to ensure satisfaction.
• Relay customer satisfaction reports to management.
• Handle customer requests with a positive attitude.

The Food Runner is primarily responsible for delivering food orders from the kitchen to customers’ tables rapidly and accurately. It is this person who will maintain the cleanliness of the expo line, organization of order tickets, and communicate effectively with the team.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Delivering food orders from the kitchen to customers’ tables rapidly and accurately.
• Acting as the point of contact between Front of the House and Back of the House staff.
• Communicating food orders to chefs, paying attention to priorities (e.g. food allergies).
• Assist the wait staff with table setting by fetching and placing appropriate tableware, eating utensils, and napkins.
• Ensure food is served by safety standards (e.g. proper temperature).
• Check in with customers and take additional orders or refill water, as needed.
• Remove dirty dishes and utensils.
• Uphold sanitation and food safety principles.
• Check in with customers to ensure their experience is satisfactory.
• Relay reports of customer satisfaction to the management and relevant parties.
• Handle different requests from customers always with a positive attitude.

• Ability to work well under pressure and respond quickly and effectively to emergencies.
