Job summary

Richland County CASA seeks a CASA Case Coordinator to supervise and support volunteer Guardian ad Litem advocates, ensuring effective advocacy for abused and neglected children. You will coordinate trainings, maintain case records, and monitor case progress, reporting findings to the program and partner agencies.

The role involves facilitating court appearances, providing emotional support to GALs, and participating in outreach and administrative tasks to sustain caseloads and program quality.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in social services or related field with relevant experience
• Must possess Guardian ad Litem certification
• Valid state driver’s license is required
• 2+ years of child welfare experience preferred

Responsibilities

• Supervise, support and assist GALs to ensure timely advocacy for abused/neglected children
• Participate in volunteer training and appreciation initiatives
• Maintain GAL case records and monitor progress in case files
• Coordinate meetings, provide guidance and debrief after court appearances
• Attend DSS protocol staffings and EPC probable cause hearings as scheduled
• Enter data and prepare reports for department and agencies
