Palace Entertainment is a leading leisure park operator in the United States and Australia overseeing more than 25 entertainment venues, hotels, and educational venues across 11 different states.

The Cartoon Network Hotel is an attraction in Lancaster, PA, specializing in offering families the ability to have a toon-tastic vacation. We are seeking a Barista to work in the "Bearista Cafe". We love a creative mind that will create one-of-a-kind beverages!

We are currently looking for a: Cartoon Network Hotel Barista

Roles & Responsibilities:

1. Create a fun and engaging environment for our guests!
2. Greet guests in a friendly and professional manner as they approach the counter.
3. Assist guests with questions, recommend specials or specific drinks, and provide a positive and engaging experience for each guest.
4. Provide explanation and recommendation for seasonal specialty drinks.
5. Maintain compliance with company and industry best practices, policies, and procedures to create a safe environment for colleagues and guests.
6. Take orders while paying attention to specific details (e.g. preferences of coffee blend, dairy and sugar ratios, etc.).
7. Prepare beverages by following the pre-defined recipes.
8. Conduct Point of Sale (POS) transactions while ensuring all handling procedures are followed – including credit and refund transactions, loss prevention.
9. Prepare and serve hot and cold beverages, such as coffee and tea.
10. Replenish condiments, beverage ingredients, and food supplies while maintaining a clean work area.
11. Clean and sanitize all utensils and equipment.
12. Prepare and stock grab-and-go items, such as sandwiches and bottled beverages.
13. Provide support to Cartoon Kitchen restaurant as needed.
14. Maintain a safe, clean, and organized work environment.
15. Perform all other duties assigned by leadership.

Education and Experience:

1. No education requirements for this position.
2. Previous work experience is not required.
3. Must be Food Handler Safety Certified (ServSafe or similar) or become so within 90 days of hire, when required by state and local guidelines.

Language: Ability to read, write, and speak fluent English; Spanish or other bilingual language skills are a plus.

Requirements:

1. Must be at least 18 years of age to comply with PA Child Labor Laws.
2. Ability to work flexible schedule, including evenings, weekends, and holidays.
3. Must have reliable transportation to and from your scheduled shift.
4. Ability to comply with all uniform policies.
5. Must possess a safety-oriented mindset and understand the importance of complying with all state and local beverage preparation and serving regulations.
6. Must possess exceptional customer service skills, with an ability to resolve questions, problems, issues, and concerns in a positive and professional manner.
7. Ability to positively engage with guests to promote sales and customer satisfaction.
8. Ability to follow direction, multi-task, and work as part of a team as well as independently.

Physical Requirements:

1. Ability to stand, walk, and remain on feet for the majority of the workday.
2. Ability to occasionally stoop, twist, kneel, bend, squat, or reach above shoulders.
3. Ability to withstand heat and humidity from the food preparation equipment.
4. Ability to carry, push, pull, lift, and hold objects weighing 20 pounds or more.

Working Conditions:

1. This role will be based in one or more food stall and/or restaurant locations throughout the park, with exposure to both indoor and outdoor environments.
2. Some exposure to the variable outside temperatures, including high heat, cold, direct sun, humidity, dust, rain, snow, ice, and other weather conditions.
3. Subject to constant repetitive motion, high noise levels, and heavily populated environments.
4. Subject to frequent interruptions and requests that may require reprioritization of activities.
