Job summary

ShopRite of Aberdeen in Aberdeen, NJ is seeking a CSA/Carts Clerk to help deliver friendly, efficient service at the front end. You’ll collect carts from the parking lot, assist customers with groceries, and maintain a clean, safe shopping environment.

The role requires standing for shifts, lifting up to 50 lbs, and good teamwork. Training is provided to ensure safety, accuracy, and excellent customer experiences every day.

Qualifications

• Ability to read, write, speak English well and understand store procedures.
• Ability to stand/walk for full shifts.
• Lift up to 50 lbs occasionally, 25 lbs regularly.
• Interact with customers in a friendly, helpful way.
• Work cooperatively with others and follow attendance policies.
• Perform duties within scheduled times and overtime if required.

Responsibilities

• Maintain a clean, neat, organized and safe work/shopping environment.
• Greet customers and provide prompt, courteous service.
• Remove debris from carts.
• Collect empty shopping carts from assigned areas and return them to their proper place.
• Handle damaged or return-to-stock items following policy and prioritize perishables.
• Perform duties in line with safety and QA standards, including PPE when handling food.
• Dress according to company policy and wear required uniform and name badge.
• Promote current charitable promotions to customers.
• Know product locations and check prices as needed.
• Maintain punctual and regular attendance.
• Overtime as assigned.
