Job summary

BJs Wholesale Club is seeking a maintenance/janitorial teammate to keep the club clean, safe and welcoming for members and fellow team members. You’ll perform general maintenance, manage cleaning duties, and help maintain the exterior and interior spaces to support a high standard of safety and sanitation.

Daily tasks include cart retrieval, restocking supplies, and routine repairs, with a focus on efficiency, teamwork, and delivering great member service in a fast-paced retail environment.

Qualifications

• Must successfully complete required training and certification processes.
• Prior maintenance or janitorial experience preferred, but not required.
• Prior retail/wholesale experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provides members with prompt and courteous service and maintains high standards of safety and sanitation for members and team members.
• Responsible for maintaining the cleanliness of all areas of the club including the sales floor, offices, restrooms and the outdoor grounds and parking lot.
• Gathers and returns carts and flatbeds from the parking lot to the club entrance. Removes trash or debris from the parking lot, cart corrals, and exterior of the club.
• Ensures carts are well-stocked at the club entrance and in working order.
• Performs maintenance and cleaning duties including wet and dry mopping, sweeping, vacuuming, washing glass, and pulling pallets.
