Job summary

BJ’s Wholesale Club is seeking a maintenance/janitorial team member to keep club facilities clean, safe and well-maintained for members and coworkers. Responsibilities include keeping the sales floor, restrooms, and outdoor areas clean, gathering carts, and assisting with routine repairs.

The role emphasizes reliable attendance, adherence to club policies, and collaboration with other team members to ensure a welcoming environment.

Qualifications

• Must successfully complete required training and certification processes.
• Prior maintenance or janitorial experience preferred, but not required.
• Prior retail/wholesale experience preferred.
• May be less than 18 to perform parking lot cart functions. Must be over 18 to operate equipment and enter age restricted areas.

Responsibilities

• Gathers and returns carts and flatbeds from the parking lot to the club entrance.
• Performs maintenance and cleaning duties including mopping, sweeping, vacuuming, and trash removal.
• Maintains outdoor grounds including cart corrals and sidewalks.
• Operates floor scrubber, trash compactor and cardboard baler machines safely.
• Restocks maintenance and cleaning supplies; keeps supply areas organized.
• Performs other duties as assigned and supports club policies.
