Job summary

BJ's Wholesale Club is seeking a maintenance/janitorial team member to help keep the club clean, safe and welcoming for members and team members. You will be responsible for cleaning all areas, collecting and returning carts, and assisting with building upkeep to support a positive shopping environment.

Responsibilities include maintaining exterior grounds, stocking and inspecting equipment, and complying with club policies and safety standards.

Qualifications

• Must successfully complete required training and certification processes.
• Prior maintenance or janitorial experience preferred, but not required.

Responsibilities

• Provides members with prompt and courteous service and assistance; maintains high standards of safety and sanitation.
• Maintains cleanliness of all club areas including sales floor, offices, restrooms and outdoor grounds.
• Gathers and returns carts and flatbeds from the parking lot to the club entrance; removes trash and debris.
• Ensures carts are well-stocked and in working order; removes unsuitable carts.
• Performs routine cleaning tasks such as mopping, sweeping, vacuuming, and trash removal throughout the club.
• Maintains outdoor grounds including cart corrals and sidewalks; assists with minor repairs as needed.
