Job summary

Wegmans in Bridgewater Township, NJ is looking for a friendly, service-oriented associate to help maintain the parking lot, gather carts, and keep the exterior area safe and welcoming.

In this role you will engage customers with a smile, offer assistance during inclement weather, and promote Wegmans' comprehensive benefits, including PTO, health care, a 401(k) match and scholarship support.

Qualifications

• Customer service experience preferred, in food service, grocery or retail.
• Willingness to engage with customers and assist during inclement weather.

Work Environment: The physical demands of this work are classified as light to medium. Work includes standing, walking for long periods, bending, pushing and pulling, moving, and lifting, along with continuous interaction with customers and coworkers in a fast-paced environment. May be asked to work at regular cash register station (see Cashier).The average weight range of items lifted, pushed, or pulled is 20 – 35 pounds with a maximum weight lifted of 50 pounds rarely. Upper extremity repetition is moderate and trunk movement involves moderate twisting, bending, and pivoting. May be exposed to various allergens (things that may cause an allergic reaction). The work environment is mostly outdoors with seasonal outdoor temperatures and weather. Basic tools and equipment used include shopping carts, Billy Goat, Mart Cart, snow blower, shovel, property maintenance equipment.; Collective customer service experience, internally and/or externally preferably in a food service, grocery or retail setting
