Job summary

Wegmans is seeking a front-end supervisor to lead customers and teammates, pro-actively assisting shoppers, organizing carts, and supporting cashiers to minimize wait times.

You will delegate tasks, coordinate with the inside front-end team, and ensure the parking lot and front-end areas are safe and well-presented, while delivering friendly service.

Managerial/supervisory experience living our values and achieving results in our 5 measures; Work Environment: The physical demands of this work are classified as light to medium. Work includes standing, walking for long periods, bending, pushing and pulling, moving, and lifting, along with continuous interaction with customers and coworkers in a fast-paced environment. May be asked to work at regular cash register station (see Cashier).The average weight range of items lifted, pushed, or pulled is 20 – 35 pounds with a maximum weight lifted of 50 pounds rarely. Upper extremity repetition is moderate and trunk movement involves moderate twisting, bending, and pivoting. May receive assistance with heavy items, if available. May be exposed to various allergens (things that may cause an allergic reaction). The work environment is mostly outdoors with seasonal outdoor temperatures and weather. Basic tools and equipment used include shopping carts, Billy Goat, Mart Cart, snow blower, shovel, property maintenance equipment.; Collective customer service experience, internally and/or externally preferably in a food service, grocery or retail setting
