Job summary

Wegmans is seeking a friendly, customer-focused team member to help keep our parking lot safe and welcoming at our Wake Forest store. You will gather shopping carts, pick up trash, and engage customers with eye contact and a smile while offering helpful service.

In addition to daily tasks, you’ll proactively assist shoppers, thank them for choosing Wegmans, and be ready to lend extra help during bad weather. This role emphasizes courtesy, safety, and a positive guest experience.

Work Environment: The physical demands of this work are classified as light to medium. Work includes standing, walking for long periods, bending, pushing and pulling, moving, and lifting, along with continuous interaction with customers and coworkers in a fast-paced environment. May be asked to work at regular cash register station (see Cashier).The average weight range of items lifted, pushed, or pulled is 20 - 35 pounds with a maximum weight lifted of 50 pounds rarely. Upper extremity repetition is moderate and trunk movement involves moderate twisting, bending, and pivoting. May be exposed to various allergens (things that may cause an allergic reaction). The work environment is mostly outdoors with seasonal outdoor temperatures and weather. Basic tools and equipment used include shopping carts, Billy Goat, Mart Cart, snow blower, shovel, property maintenance equipment.; Collective customer service experience, internally and/or externally preferably in a food service, grocery or retail setting
