Job summary

BBI Logistics is seeking motivated undergraduates for a Carrier Sales Intern position in Columbus, Ohio. The role focuses on hands-on logistics training, learning BBI’s TMS, and supporting a dedicated mentor to build sales and operations skills.

Interns gain exposure to both Carrier Sales and Customer Sales models, with opportunities to negotiate rates, dispatch loads, and participate in real-world logistics tasks within a fast-paced environment.

Qualifications

• : Undergraduate students (junior or senior) pursuing a bachelor's degree preferred.

Responsibilities

• Gain training on the logistics industry, BBI’s proprietary TMS, and operational tasks that will set you up for success throughout the program.
• Learn how to sell, book, and dispatch loads in a fast-paced environment
• Communicate with carriers to negotiate rates and secure capacity
• Understand market pricing and how it impacts load coverage
• Assist in covering loads at or below market rate
• Partner with the Operations team to transition loads after dispatch
• Work alongside Account Coordinators to understand execution processes
• Gain exposure to both Carrier Sales (transactional) and Customer Sales (relationship-driven) models
