Job summary

STG Logistics is seeking a Carrier Representative in California to grow relationships with licensed motor carriers and facilitate freight opportunities. You will ensure capacity delivery, problem solving, and reliable logistics solutions for customers while advancing your career with STG.

The role requires a bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience, 1 year in operations/dispatch, and 2 years in logistics.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent related work or military experience.
• 1 year of experience in operations or dispatch environment.
• 2 years of logistics or transportation experience.
• Basic Microsoft Office skills.

Responsibilities

• Communicate with customers, potential customers, and licensed motor carriers.
• Build, develop, grow and maintain relationships with licensed motor carriers.
• Plan and facilitate customer deliveries.
• Administrative duties which align with each assigned shift.
• Proactively communicate with customers on potential service failures and create action plans to avoid issues in the future.
• Execute legging/street turn/empty repositioning functionality in Rail Optimizer.
• Manage equipment, including chassis and containers.
• Maintain proper records and ensure information was executed correctly and on time.
• Shifts are subject to change at any time.
