Job summary

Conterra Networks is seeking a results-driven professional to join the G&A - Service Delivery & PMO in a full-time role based in Charlotte, NC or Longview, TX. You will manage third-party providers, negotiate rates, update contracts and rate cards, and help ensure timely delivery of last-mile telecom services.

The ideal candidate has a Bachelor's degree and 3–5 years in telecom cost analysis, pricing or procurement, strong negotiation and communication skills, and the ability to

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Business, Finance, Engineering or related field.
• 3–5 years' experience in telecom cost analysis, carrier relations, pricing or procurement.
• Knowledge of telecom products and services including Ethernet, IP, Wavelengths, and Dark Fiber.
• Excellent negotiation and written/verbal communication skills.

What you will be doing

• Develop and maintain strong relationships with third party providers fostering trust and collaboration.
• Maintain contracts, update rate cards, building lists and network maps, escalation lists, and other vendor information as needed.
• Assist with negotiating rates, terms, conditions, and SLAs with third-party providers to ensure compliance with policy and objectives.
• Review and respond to internal quote requests and provide competitive pricing for off-net services.
• Review incoming orders and prepare order for submission by confirming services to be ordered along with the term and expected third-party cost.
• Provide coordination of fulfillment of last-mile provider orders, responsible for meeting timeline for a facilities-based, telecommunications service provider.
• Research and evaluate new off-net opportunities and providers, expanding network coverage and capabilities.
• Track and report on the performance and quality of last-mile services.
• Maintain off-net inventory, and contribute to optimization activities.
• Ad-hoc projects and requests as needed.

What you will need

• Bachelor's degree in Business, Finance, Engineering or related experience.
• Minimum of three (3) to five (5) years' experience in telecom cost analysis, carrier relations, pricing or procurement.
• Strong knowledge of telecom products and services to include Ethernet, IP, Wavelengths and Dark Fiber.
• Excellent negotiation and communication skills, both written and verbal.
• Communicate effectively and influence internal resources and external stakeholders at all experience levels.
• Ability to analyze and define problems, prioritize workflow, multitask, meet deadlines, and remain flexible.
• Ability to think through project dependencies and complexities to find creative ways to solve potential problems.
