Job summary

Final Mile is seeking a Procurement Analyst to manage carrier relationships, support procurement events, and review carrier rates. You will oversee a group of carriers’ spend, contribute light analytics, and help troubleshoot rates in the TMS. You will collaborate with internal and external customers and keep projects on schedule.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in logistics, supply chain, transportation, business, or related field or equivalent experience.
• Ability to work in a team and meet tight deadlines.
• Experience in carrier-facing roles in a fast-paced environment.
• Ability to manage multiple priorities and adapt to changing demands while delivering high-quality service.
• Strong organizational and problem-solving skills; prioritize workload effectively.
• Proficient with web-based applications and Microsoft Excel (advanced features like VLOOKUP and Pivot Tables).

Responsibilities

• Develop and grow carrier relations by maintaining professional working relationships and resolving issues quickly.
• Communicate with internal/external carriers and customers to meet expectations and KPIs across channels.
• Address RFP questions and package bid materials to source aggressive pricing.
• Support process improvements to streamline procurement within customer guidelines.
• Participate in formal RFP bid feedback calls and negotiate with carriers as needed.
• Manage escalated carrier service issues with senior carrier personnel.
• Assist Account Management Directors and cross-functional teams in projects.
• Support ongoing carrier rate negotiations.
