Job summary

Final Mile is seeking a Procurement Analyst to manage a group of carriers, support procurement events, and analyze rates. You will work with internal and external customers, ensuring timely, accurate communication across email, phone, EDI, and web channels.

The role emphasizes relationship building with carriers, RFP support, and ongoing rate negotiations to optimize spend and performance.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Logistics, Supply Chain, Transportation, Business, or equivalent background.
• Ability to interact well in a team and meet time-sensitive requirements.
• Experience in carrier-facing roles in a fast-paced environment.
• Ability to manage competing priorities and deadlines with high-quality customer service.
• Proficiency with web-based applications and Microsoft products including advanced Excel (VLOOKUP, Pivot Tables).

Responsibilities

• Develop and grow carrier relations and maintain strong working relationships.
• Communicate with carriers and customers to meet KPIs using multiple channels (email, phone, EDI, web).
• Address RFP questions and package bid packages to source competitive pricing.
• Support streamlined procurement processes within customer guidelines.
• Participate in RFP bid feedback calls and conduct light carrier negotiations.
• Manage escalated carrier issues with senior stakeholders.
• Assist Account Management Directors and cross‑functional teams on projects.
• Support ongoing negotiations of carrier rates.
