Job summary

U.S. Pacific Fleet in San Diego, CA seeks a logistics and maintenance planning professional to support Maintenance Planning Managers by reviewing complex work packages and conducting risk assessments.

The role includes issuing Navy messages with installation recommendations and providing oversight of the Maintenance Support Center operations for Pacific Fleet aircraft carriers. The incumbent will identify configurations and logistics deficiencies through analysis of maintenance and supply

Qualifications

• At least one year of specialized experience at GS-11 or equivalent.
• Experience applying lifecycle logistics and sustainment to shipboard/technical systems, communicating recommendations to maintenance, engineering, operations and senior stakeholders.

Responsibilities

• Review work packages to support Maintenance Planning Managers.
• Conduct risk assessments and issue Naval messages with recommendations on acceptability to proceed with installations.
• Manage and oversee Maintenance Support Center operations for Pacific Fleet carriers.
• Identify configurations and logistics deficiencies through maintenance and supply outputs.
• Represent the command in high-level discussions and serve as point of contact.
• Provide authoritative logistics and maintenance planning recommendations to leadership and stakeholders.
